School Well this will be interesting :) After private School in NYC I was a product of the California 60's generation. Beads, long hair, very liberal. It was quite a change from the San Francisco Bay area to little Orting, Washington. I think most of my classmates will agree that I was a Black Sheep, Wild One, Hippie Flower Child and Biker girl. Though, I did accel in my academics and graduated with a 3.9gpa!! Imagine that! I always was the loner type, but did enjoy a few great friendships. Most of my friends were already out of high school and lived in Spanaway-Tacoma. My favorite classes were Shop, Drama, French, Chemistry and History.My favorite teacher was Mr. Clyde and least-liked was Mr. Ellsworth-my English teacher. One of my favorite memories was being selected as one of the court in the Daffodil Festival. I was shocked and honored that enough classmates thought me worthy of that...thank you!! We all know I had quite a reputation, but it WAS the 60's....LOL. College Well college was temporary for I was pregnant when I started TCC in Sept. 69. I dropped out by Thanksgiving. I did enjoy the academic and social environment though I goofed off like a lot of students back then. And yes, it's a bit hazy:) However, I did go back to college in the mid-70's in Oregon. I went to Lane Community in Eugene and took Radio Broadcast classes. Then moved to Lake Oswego, Ore in 75 and went to Portland CC for a couple of years (off n on)continuing my Broadcast classes, also my 2 yrs. of college French amongst a few other liberal classes. I truly enjoyed college, however I was also a single mother so it was difficult at the time. I never got an AA degree but still have alot of credits if ever I decide to return to college; which I may do in the future. You never know and it's never too late to lea...Expand for more
